Integrating Mathematics and Social Studies Through Literacy

The biographies help students strengthen their mathematical reasoning skills; while applying mathematics to "real world" situations, which make sense to the student.

The biographies help students to become aware of the importance of:

  1. Girls and boys having equal opportunities in education,
  2. Women having equal opportunities in the workforce and
  3. The importance of accepting people from different cultures with different religious backgrounds.
